Express scan: your catalogue at your smartphone's fingertips

Entering and managing hundreds of references by hand is slow and error-prone. Express scan turns an ordinary smartphone into a barcode scanner: you scan a product's EAN, and the app finds it, creates it or updates its details in seconds.

What this module is for

Managing a food catalogue relies largely on barcodes (EAN). Express scan puts that logic at the heart of daily operations: goods receipt, checks, quick record creation or label printing become simple gestures, carried out directly on the shelves or in the stockroom, without going through a computer workstation. The time saved is immediate, and data reliability is strengthened.

How it works

Express scan is a web app installable on mobile (PWA): no installation from a store, it opens like a regular app. The phone's camera reads the barcode; the app instantly identifies the product in the catalogue, or offers to create it. Paired with the EAN enrichment and Labels & barcodes modules, it automatically completes records from product data sources and lets you print the matching labels — a genuine management chain, from scan to label.

Activation

Express scan is an activatable module of Webshop Engine. Together with EAN enrichment and Labels, it forms the platform's catalogue toolset.
