Clearance: sell through your stock at the right moment

End-of-line items, short shelf life, seasonal surplus: some products need to move fast. The Clearance module of Webshop Engine highlights these items with a clearly displayed reduced price, under conditions you control, and over a period you define.

What this module is for

Clearing stock in time means avoiding losses and freeing up cash. But the offer still has to be visible and clear to the customer. This module creates a dedicated highlight and an unambiguous price display — original price struck through, reduced price front and centre — while keeping you in control of the conditions: a discount on a selection, on a complete batch, or over a precise window of time.

How it works

You set the discount — a percentage or a fixed price — and its conditions, for example the purchase of a complete batch. The module then shows the relevant items in a “Clearance” shelf on the home page, applies the new price in the basket, and displays it struck through to show the saving made. The promotion starts and ends automatically on the dates you choose, calculated on the shop's local time to avoid any mismatch.

Activation

Clearance is an activatable module of Webshop Engine. It works hand in hand with the Promotions module: the same order line is never discounted twice, which guarantees a fair price and a consistent display.
