Back-in-stock alert: never lose a sale again

A product out of stock means a disappointed customer… and often a lost sale. The Back-in-stock alert module of Webshop Engine lets your customers ask to be notified as soon as an item is available again — and reminds them automatically when the moment comes.

What this module is for

An out-of-stock item need not mean a missed sale. By capturing a customer's interest at the precise moment they are looking for the product, you turn frustration into deferred purchase intent. As soon as the item is restocked, the customer is reminded and comes back to complete their order. It is a simple way to recover sales that would otherwise have gone to the competition.

How it works

On the page of an unavailable product, the customer clicks “Notify me” and leaves their address. The module records the request, then, when the product comes back in stock, triggers a notification email — automatically, or with a single click from the back office. The customer is informed without delay and can order straight away.

Activation

Back-in-stock alert is an activatable module of Webshop Engine. It pairs naturally with the Communication and Express reorder modules to nurture the customer relationship.
