Today, Webshop Engine handles payment on invoice and by bank transfer, perfectly suited to professionals. The Online payment module, currently in development, will add card payment for immediate settlement — ideal for sales to private customers and one-off orders.

What this module will bring

Immediate settlement removes the last barrier to purchase, particularly on the consumer side. By offering card payment alongside the existing professional methods, your shop will open up to a wider audience and get paid faster, with no manual handling.

How it will work

The module will rely on recognised, secure payment providers, integrated into the ordering journey. The customer will pay at the end of the order; the transaction will be confirmed automatically, and the order will continue its usual cycle through to dispatch. Professional payment methods (on invoice, bank transfer) will remain available depending on the customer's profile.
