Codemark is a tool LBO Dev developed for ourselves, in two parts: automatically mapping the code of our projects, and protecting the intellectual property of what we deliver. An approach that says a lot about our standards: we apply to our own code the same rigour we put into your projects.
Part 1 — Mapping the code
On a project that keeps growing, understanding "who depends on what" quickly becomes difficult. Codemark identifies a project's critical functions and maps them out.

Part 2 — Protecting intellectual property
The code we deliver is the fruit of genuine know-how. Codemark makes it possible to apply a discreet, robust ownership signature to each delivered version, in order to:
Prove the origin
Attest to the origin of a piece of code in the event of a dispute.
Identify a leak
Tell different deliveries apart to trace back to the source of a leak.
Withstand changes
A signature that holds up against partial modifications of the code.
Support a legal filing
Concrete backing for a copyright-style procedure.
This signature remains invisible in use and in no way affects how the software works.
For obvious security reasons, the precise workings of this protection are not made public.

Project status
Codemark is an internal tool currently in development. Its foundations are in place; the code-protection part, then full mapping and a visualisation dashboard, are the next steps.
